Welcome to Guwahati. Meet and be assisted by our representative at the airport & proceed to Shillong, also called ‘Scotland of the East” (100 kms 3 hrs). While traveling us see the majestic Umiam Lake (Barapani) surrounded by sylvan hills and wrapped in the beauty of an assortment of green Khasi-pines and the azure blue skies. On arrival at Shillong, check in at your hotel. Evening you can visit the local market. Overnight stay in Shillong.

Get up early today to enjoy the mesmerizing mornings of Shillong and after breakfast at 07:30 A.M drive to Cherrapunji (60 Kms 1½hrs), which is the wettest place in the world. It is a pleasant drive to see roaring waterfalls leaping into deep gorges, including the famed Nohsngithiang Falls. The beautiful waterfall-Nohkalikai is at Cherrapunjee. You can also explore some of the caves in and around Cherrapunjee. Evening return to Shillong, en-route visit Elephanta falls and Shillong peak for some breathtaking views. Overnight stay in Shillong.

After breakfast leave from Shillong and drive to Mawlynnong (Asia’s cleanest village). Visit Living Root Bridge. Enjoy the splendor of nature and clean mountains. A dustbin made out of bamboo is found all along the village. Everyone makes it a point that dirt and waste are not thrown everywhere. All the waste from the dustbin is collected and kept in a pit, which the villagers use as manure. The villagers are now on a mission to ban plastic. The village with cent per cent literacy is conscious and they are spreading the message of conservation and protection of the forest. Locals plant trees to ensure that the virgin forest is kept intact and also replenished. After spending quality time at Mawlynnong, move to Dawki. The Line of Actual Control (LAC) of India and Bangladesh. One can have Boat ride (Dawki Lake). Leisure shopping at LAC. In the evening return back to the Shillong.

Early morning explore world’s endangered One-horned Rhinoceros; the Park sustains half the world’s population of genetically pure Wild Water Buffaloes, over 1000 Wild elephants and perhaps the densest population of Royal Bengal Tigers anywhere. Kaziranga is also a bird watcher’s paradise and home to some 500 species of birds. The Crested Serpent Eagle, Palla’s Fishing Eagle, Greyheaded Fishing Eagle, Swamp Partridge, Bar-headed goose, whistling Teal, Bengal Florican, Storks, Herons and Pelicans are some of the species found here, Evening We will attend Assam Cultural Traditional songs and dance,(Bihu) Bihu is a set of three important Assamese festivals in the Indian state of Assam – ‘Rongali’ or ‘Bohag Bihu’ observed in April, ‘Kongali’ or ‘Kati Bihu’ observed in October, and ‘Bhogali’ or ‘Magh Bihu’ observed in January. The Rongali Bihu is the most important of the three, celebrating spring festival. Overnight stay at hotel.

Start early in the morning for Dirang. On the way visit Tippi On the banks of the river Bharali at an elevation of 190 Mtrs is Tipi, an Orchidarium with over 7500 orchids. On display are some of the finest species with names like the Dainty Lady’s Slipper or the more formal sounding Dendrobium. Arunachal has the largest range of orchids in the country. Continue your drive and do not forget to keep your cameras handy as you cross beautiful waterfalls and get some spectacular views. Check in to your hotel. After lunch visit the Nursery, dzong (fort), hot water spring. Overnight stay in Dirang

After breakfast transfer to Tawang. On the way visit Sela Pass at an altitude of 4114m / 13494 ft. It is famous for high altitude lakes & scenic beauty & is ideal for ice skating during winter., also Visit Nuranang Waterfall ,Also known as Jung/Jang Falls or Bong Bong Falls, Nuranang Falls drops down from an altitude of 100 meters. It originates from northern slopes of the famous Sela Pass, furth Nuranang River forms the waterfalls and then it plunges into Tawang River, followed by a visit to Jaswant Garh Indo Chinese War Memorial – a memorial in honour of late Jaswant Singh Rawat, Check in the hotel on arrival. Overnight stay in Tawang.

After breakfast visit Pt Tso Lake, Madhuri Lake, Bumla Pass- The Bum La Pass is a border pass between China’s Tsona County in Tibet and India’s Tawang district in Arunachal Pradesh. It is 37 km away from the town of Tawang in India’s Tawang district and 43 km from the town of Tsona Dzong in China’s Tsona Count, in first half of Madhuri Lake. In second half Tawang Monastery, Tawang War memorial, Light & Sound show, Dinner Night stays at hotel.

After Breakfast, Checkout From Tawang Hotel,Transfer to Bomdila. Check in the hotel on arrival. After lunch visit Gontse Rabgyaling Monastery (Upper Gonpa), Thub-Chog Gatsel Ling Monastery (Lower Gonpa), Bomdila View Point. Bomdila offers wonderfully panoramic view of Himalayan landscapes and snow clad ranges. Evening you can visit the local market. Overnight stay in Bomdila.

Do’s

• Always travel with a guide.
• Vegetation is fragile; follow designated trails.
• Carry back all non-degradable litter such as empty bottles, tins, plastic bags etc. These must not litter the environment or be buried. They must be disposed in municipal dustbins only.
• Keep all pollutants away from streams and lakes.
• Do respect people’s privacy while taking photographs. Ask for prior permission before taking a photograph. Dress modestly.
• Be aware of the customs and manners and culture of the local people.
• It is customary to leave a donation at a monastery and to circle shrines in clockwise direction.
• Avoid loud music and noise.
• Always keep your Identity Card / Passport Copies to avoid hasslement in hotels.
• Do Use dustbin in public places as you are also responsible for clean environment.
• Don’t take a lot of cash with you, there are many ATM’s of almost all major banks in the major towns of the region.
• Do not encourage beggars and always beware of strangers.
  Observe the sanctity of holy sites, temples and local cultures.
• In case temporary toilets are set-up near campsites, after defecation, cover with mud or sand. Make sure that the spot is at least 30 meters away from the water source.
• While traveling to high Hills always carry Camera, Goggles, Sun screen lotion and Sports Shoes incase you like nature walks (Binoculars are optional).

• Don’t disturb wildlife or its habitat.
• Don’t buy endangered species or antiques.
• Don’t smoke, drink alcohol or talk loudly near sacred places.
• Don’t pluck plants or flowers.
• Don’t use Plastic Bags or Plastic Bottles in the forest area as plastic does NOT decay itself & harms the natural environment. If you do use plastic kindly don’t throw in the forest and carry back.
• Don’t throw cigarette buts on leaf litter as they are an important cause for forest fires
• Do not leave any non-biodegradable items.
• Do not scribble on trees, rocks and buildings.
• Do not destroy any type of vegetation or plants during your visit here.
• Do not take away flora and fauna in the forms of cuttings, seeds or roots. It is illegal, especially in the Himalayas. The environment is really delicate in this region and the bio-diversity of the region has to be protected at all costs.
• Do not use pollutants such as detergent, in streams or springs while washing and bathing.
• Do not use wood as fuel to cook food at the campsite.
• Do not consume aerated drinks, alcohol, drugs or any other intoxicant and throw bottles in the wild.
• Do not tempt the locals, especially children by offering them foodstuff or sweets. Respect local traditions.
• Polythene and plastics are non biodegradable and unhealthy for the environment and must not be used and littered.
