Detailed Itinerary

Leh | Pangong Tso |Turtuk Village | KhardungLa Pass | Nubra Valley | Changa La pass| Sham Valley Tour | Leh

    Arrive at Kushok Bakula airport, Leh situated at 3500m altitude, Meet and Greet with Tour Manager at the airport and transfer to your hotel in Leh city 3 to 4 km. On arrival check in at The resort and take full-day at rest to acclimatize you completely to the high altitudes of Ladakh which is a must, Introduction session Dinner & Overnight stay at Leh.

    After breakfast, we will drive alongside the bank of the Indus River till Sangam, to witness the conflicts of the Zanskar River and Indus River. En-Route we will be visiting the Hall of Fame (which has a museum of the Kargil War memorial ), Magnetic Hill (where the cars defy gravity) and Gurdwara Pathar Sahib. Later in the afternoon visit Shanti Stupa & Leh Palace. Return to your hotel & relax for the day. Overnight stay at the hotel.

    Today post breakfast check out of the hotel & we will start our journey to Nubra Valley through Khardungla, which is the World’s highest motorable road at 18,832 feet above sea level. At Khardungla pass the snow-capped peaks and the mountain views are amazing. The road then passes through a bridge laid on Glacier which finds its way in the Guinness Book of World Records. Drive through the Valley which is extremely beautiful for photography. Nubra Valley is the Oasis of Ladakh as you see some colorful trees in this region. Arrive in Nubra and enjoy an adventurous ATV ride Later reach your camp, check in & enjoy your lunch. Post lunch visit the Hunder sand dunes and get the sight of the Double Hump Bactrian camels (camel ride to be on a direct payment basis), enjoy leisure time at the Sand Dunes of Nubra valley spread across Hunder Village. Later in the evening, return to your respective Overnight stay at the Hotel |Cottage. (No camp -We Don’t Do Camps)

    After Breakfast, leave for Pangong Lake at 14, 500 ft. via Agham & Shyok village and reach Pangong Lake. Pangong, the highest salt water lake in the world. Take in the breath-taking views and setting of the blue lake set amidst the lofty Himalaya Mountains. Check in to your respective camps & enjoy your lunch. Later in the afternoon, spend time on your own at leisure. A popular location for many Bollywood movies, enjoy some unique moments and don’t forget to click some nice pictures. Overnight stay at the Cottage (No camp -We Don’t Do Camps)

    After sunrise, enjoy your early breakfast and check out of the hotel and drive back to Leh. En- route visit Thiksey Monastery, located on a hill-lock with formidable views of the Indus valley. Thiksey is especially noteworthy for its gigantic seated statue of the Maitreya and is also known for its (Dukhang) assembly hall which houses hundreds of rectangular prayer books, stacked between wooden covers and bound in silk. After that we continue to drive through series of chortens (Stupa) to visit Shey Palace the former summer palace of the King of Ladakh. Early evening, check into hotel and relax. Evening, you may opt to visit the local market to buy souvenirs for your near & dear ones. Dinner & Overnight stay at hotel.

    • Put on a warm jacket before the sun goes down.
    • Dress in layers, not just one thick jacket
    • Carry Eatables – chocolates or Dry fruits all the time.

    • Don’t exert unnecessarily or suddenly.

    • Avoid Alcohol.

    • Mountain Sickness Is A Real Danger And Can Be Fatal.
    • Symptoms of acute mountain sickness (AMS) include headache, light-headedness, breathlessness and nausea.
    • Hospitals in Leh are filled with tourists who think the weather is great and take acclimatization lightly.” If you think something’s wrong, stop or descend to the lowest possible point immediately.
    • Medicines such as Diamox may be prescribed by general physicians prior to the trip and help reduce the chances of AMS—in case of any discomfort, this should be your first go-to. Having said that, the body is also fully capable of adjusting to the altitude on its own, if given time. Chewing something (especially garlic and chocolates) helps keep symptoms away.
    • Only post-paid mobile connections work in Leh – Ladakh
    • So, always carry a postpaid mobile phone connection only from your hometown. Otherwise, your phone will be dead all throughout your stay in Leh – Ladakh.
