Detailed Itinerary

    Welcome to Guwahati. Meet and be assisted by our representative at the airport & proceed to Shillong, also called ‘Scotland of the East” (100 kms 3 hrs). While traveling us see the majestic Umiam Lake (Barapani) surrounded by sylvan hills and wrapped in the beauty of an assortment of green Khasi-pines and the azure blue skies. On arrival at Shillong, check in at your hotel. Evening you can visit the local market. Overnight stay in Shillong.

    Get up early today to enjoy the mesmerizing mornings of Shillong and after breakfast at 07:30 A.M drive to Cherrapunji (60 Kms 1½hrs), which is the wettest place in the world. It is a pleasant drive to see roaring waterfalls leaping into deep gorges, including the famed Nohsngithiang Falls. The beautiful waterfall-Nohkalikai is at Cherrapunjee. You can also explore some of the caves in and around Cherrapunjee. Evening return to Shillong, en-route visit Elephanta falls and Shillong peak for some breathtaking views. Overnight stay in Shillong.

    Meals: Breakfast & Dinner

    After breakfast leave from Shillong and drive to Mawlynnong (Asia’s cleanest village). Visit Living Root Bridge. Enjoy the splendor of nature and clean mountains. A dustbin made out of bamboo is found all along the village. Everyone makes it a point that dirt and waste are not thrown everywhere. All the waste from the dustbin is collected and kept in a pit, which the villagers use as manure. The villagers are now on a mission to ban plastic. The village with cent per cent literacy is conscious and they are spreading the message of conservation and protection of the forest. Locals plant trees to ensure that the virgin forest is kept intact and also replenished. After spending quality time at Mawlynnong, move to Dawki. The Line of Actual Control (LAC) of India and Bangladesh. One can have Boat ride (Dawki Lake). Leisure shopping at LAC. In the evening return back to the Shillong.

    After Breakfast , checkout & Transfer to Kaziranga National Park, the home of the “One Horned Rhinoceros” (280 Kms 7 hrs), Check in at your hotel, Evening free for leisure. Overnight stay at hotel.

    Early morning explore world’s endangered One-horned Rhinoceros; the Park sustains half the world’s population of genetically pure Wild Water Buffaloes, over 1000 Wild elephants and perhaps the densest population of Royal Bengal Tigers anywhere. Kaziranga is also a bird watcher’s paradise and home to some 500 species of birds. The Crested Serpent Eagle, Palla’s Fishing Eagle, Greyheaded Fishing Eagle, Swamp Partridge, Bar-headed goose, whistling Teal, Bengal Florican, Storks, Herons and Pelicans are some of the species found here, Evening We will attend Assam Cultural Traditional songs and dance,(Bihu) Bihu is a set of three important Assamese festivals in the Indian state of Assam – ‘Rongali’ or ‘Bohag Bihu’ observed in April, ‘Kongali’ or ‘Kati Bihu’ observed in October, and ‘Bhogali’ or ‘Magh Bihu’ observed in January. The Rongali Bihu is the most important of the three, celebrating spring festival. Overnight stay at hotel.

    After Breakfast transfer to Guwahati. Check in to your hotel. Evening you are free for leisure. Overnight stay in Guwahati.

    After breakfast check out from hotel visit Kamakhya Temple, And Drop To Airport.
    Kindly Note: Kamakhya Darshan is possible if your flight is after 3 Pm on the last day, With everlasting memories transfer to Guwahati airport for onward journey.
